George, founding director of Bradley Van Der Straeten Architects, studied at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, the University of Liverpool, and undertook the advanced diploma in professional practice in architecture with RIBA North West, becoming a registered architect in the UK in 2008 (ARB). He is a chartered architect with the RIBA.
George lives with his family in The Studio, designed and built by Ewald and him as the company’s first project.
George has taught on the Interior Architecture course at the University of Westminster and has presented on ITV's 'Love Your Home and Garden'.
Prior to founding the company George worked for a number of award winning architects including Denton Corker Marshall.
Ewald Van Der Straeten

Ewald, founding director of Bradley Van Der Straeten Architects, studied at the Sint-Lucas Institute of Science and Art in Brussels and at the University of Liverpool. He became a registered architect in the UK in 2010 (ARB).
Prior to founding the company Ewald worked for Arcasa Arkitekter in Oslo, Dial Architects in Ghent, Belgium and Interiørverkstedet AS, a high end bespoke carpentry firm in Oslo.
Ewald lives in Trevelyan House, designed by Bradley Van Der Straeten Architects.
Ewald has taught on the Interior Architecture course at the University of Westminster and has presented on ITV's 'Love Your Home and Garden'.
Jessica studied at Deakin University in Australia where she was nominated for the Australian Institute Graduate Prize as well as doing an exchange at University of Westminster in London.
Jessica has previously worked for a number of Melbourne based architecture practices including Claire Cousins Architects, Daryl Pelchen Architects and dKO Architecture, as well as spending a year in France.
Asides from being a great architect Jessica is also really into food, proclaiming herself as a burger connoisseur.
Joanna studied at University of Kent before spending an extended time in USA. Following her return she completed her studies at University of Westminster where she was nominated for Portfolio of the Year.
Following studies, Joanna gained extensive residential experience at Christian Froggatt Architects in Surrey and Ben Pentreath Associates here in London.
As well as being a great designer, Joanna supports Tottenham Hotspur and collects shoes for a hobby!
Nicola studied at the University of Westminster and recently qualified as an Architect in the UK.
Having had experience in a range of scales in her previous practices in London and South Africa; including commercial interiors, public sector competitions and residential developments, her main interest now is in private residential work.
She enjoys the process of helping clients discover how they want to live day to day and exploring how this brief then translates into the physical transformation of their home.
Apart from that, Nicola is a fanatic pinner on Pinterest.
Lucy studied at the University of Oxford Brookes where she specialised in international regeneration and development. When moving back to her motherland, London, she gained extensive experience working for David Miller Architects designing various complex, mixed use housing schemes.
Lucy qualified as a Part III architect in 2017 and asides from design, she likes swimming, going to festivals and likes colour a lot.
Unlike most architects Lucy does not wear black.
Maggie studied at the University of Westminster and qualified as an architect in 2014. Maggie has gained extensive experience, working for Foster and Partners directly before joining us, where she was working on the Apple Campus Theatre in California, the Imperial War Museum and the Bloomberg Headquarters building. Maggie also has experience in designing luxury residential.
Before joining the studio, Maggie designed and built the extension to her own house; being fully involved in the construction process and even making the furniture herself.
As well as being a talented designer, Maggie enjoys gardening, painting, hiking and cooking - luckily for us, this includes supplying us with seriously delicious cake!
Sarah studied Law at the University of Cardiff before going on to work as a legal advisor, compliance and project manager in the Charity Sector.
Most recently, Sarah has spent five years working for national music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins where she project managed, from the client side, the refurbishment of their world-leading music therapy centre - a project for which Bradley Van Der Straeten were the architects.
Outside of work, Sarah loves wine, live music, and is not often seen without her best pal Dennis with whom she loves a long walk and chasing ball.
