But good ideas are nothing without good execution. We focus on making the process of design and construction simple and enjoyable.
Creativity
We love drawing by hand.
We think hand sketching is the best way to explore creative ideas and communicate them to you.
We also love developing our designs using 3-d models (see, we are not Luddites)
Our 3-d model allows us to develop a design as a team and walk through the project together. When we talk about team, we don’t just mean us, we mean you. We love taking our clients on a walk through of how their home could look.
Relationship
Being approachable is important to us.
We have a company director and a dedicated project runner on each project from feasibility to construction, providing all projects with a friendly continuity.
Being good listeners is our most important design tool.
We couldn’t create the homes that you see on our website without listening to and learning from our clients, whether its Martina’s passion for cooking (The Venetian Pantry), Gareth and Richard’s skills as gardeners (Hawthorn House) or Zoe’s excellent eye for colour and furnishings (Tonal Terrace), they all contribute to homes that are unique and personal.
Thoroughness
We love good detail.
Producing detailed documents helps us to make the most effective use of your budget and provide you with peace of mind during construction.
Builders love good detail.
A detailed set of information helps everyone prepare and plan for construction and assists a builder to put together a detailed and accurate cost proposal for your project.
Wider Team
We know a lot, but we don’t know everything.
Operating as a studio for over 10 years has enabled us to build an established network of friendly, experienced consultants and contractors who assist us in making beautiful buildings.
We can’t take all the credit.
Architects get way to much credit. Without the talented wider team required to complete a building, they just wouldn’t happen. That is why we put so much emphasis on maintaining our network of contacts, many of whom have been with us since the beginning.
