De Beauvoir Square

N1 London, 2016

Rear elevation of the Grade II listed building renovation extension including two floors with large doors and windows allowing plenty of sunlight to pass through.

A rear double height extension to this Grade II listed house introduces a striking, generously glazed volume with bronze and oak detailing that opens and illuminates the previously dim living spaces.

Project Leader: Cheryl Appleby

Double height space including a sunken courtyard and built in bench in the interior of the extension.
Levels and steps in the sunken courtyard of the spacious rear extension.

A sunken, stepped courtyard creates an easy connection from the garden to the enhanced interior.

Internal balcony consisting of an Oak shutter frame balustrade being the focus amongst the white walls.
Close up of the Oak shutters balustrade and view onto the extension and sunken courtyard.
